Kazakhstan – India
The Kazakhstan-Indian Business Council (KIBC) was established in April 2016.
KIBC is registered with the Chamber of Foreign Trade of Kazakhstan, which is a 100% subsidiary of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken”.
In its activities, KIBC actively interacts with National Chamber “Atameken”, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in India, the Embassy of India in the Republic of Kazakhstan, chambers of commerce, business associations of India: FICCI (Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India), CII (Confederation of Industry India), IICCI (Chamber of Commerce and Industry Importers of India), AIA (All India Association of Industrialists) and other organizations.
One of the main mission of KIBC is to promote Kazakhstan business on the Indian market and Indian business on the Kazakhstan market, support the rights and legitimate interests of Kazakhstan-Indian entrepreneurs in their relations with Kazakhstan and Indian official, commercial entities, promote the growth of bilateral trade and business activity.
In the KIBC portfolio, cooperation is organized in such areas as:
- Pharmaceuticals, medicine, health care
- Power industry
- Food industry
- Agriculture and Food processing
- Construction and development projects
- Textile and leather industry
- Tourism and medical tourism
Trade and business between Kazakhstan and India
Since 2016, only through KIBC, Kazakhstan has been visited by more than 140 new companies, business representatives, chambers of commerce and industry of India, with a total of more than 430 people.
With the assistance of KIBC,60 Kazakh companies with a total of more than140 peoplevisited India and took part in major exhibitions in India as “India CHEM”, “Higher Education Summit”, “AgroFood”, AHCI-Advanced Healthcare India, “ GES-2017 ”,“ TechoTech-2018 ”,“ IndiaSoft-2017 ”,“ IPHEX-2018 ”,“ IndiaTextile ”, etc.
The KIBC regularly maintains a register of proposals from Indian companies to business development in Kazakhstan.
As of September 2018 there are more than 130 commercial offers in the Register.
All current activities of KIBC is supported and funded by JSC “TengriBank”.
KIBC Joint Business meetings
In April 2016, in Astana, the first meeting of IIDS was held in Astana, in which about 30 Indian and more than 40 Kazakhstani companies took part. The meeting discussed areas of cooperation of mutual interest in the field of construction, energy, pharmaceuticals and tourism.
In February 2018 KIDS together with the FICCI (Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry) held the 2nd meeting of the Kazakhstan-Indian Council, New Delhi, India, which was attended by more than thirty Kazakhstan and more than a hundred Indian companies and a number of agreements were reached.
